Great post, Jim!
As a fan of Dave Mathews Band, reading this list was both interesting and amusing.

Totally agree with #1, but I would emphasize the need for Data Quality to assure data consistency between cloud and on premise databases. And between different cloud applications.
After all, cloud applications are just another silo of data that needs to be governed, like all others data items should be.
